EUGENE, Ore. – Bushnell wrapped up their regular-season home schedule on Saturday afternoon, taking care of business against Evergreen State College, 25-22, 25-23, 25-20.

Bushnell (18-10, 13-7 CCC) moved their magic number to one in their race for a fourth-place finish in the Cascade Conference as No. 23 College of Idaho (16-12, 12-8) was defeated by the Lewis-Clark State, 3-1. The Beacons need one win or one C of I loss in the final weekend to clinch a top-four seed and a bye into the quarterfinals of the Cascade Conference tournament.

"This was a great weekend of volleyball for the Beacons," said Head Coach
Jason Corwin. "We had a few different roles tonight and everyone responded with confidence, ready to play volleyball. The impact of our seniors was all over the stat sheet tonight. We are so thankful for them."

The Beacons had another impressive offensive night, hitting .268. For the second night in a row, junior
Hailey Heider tied a Bushnell record, this time, collecting 21 kills to equal the best-ever mark for a three-set match. She ties Megan Van Marter who earned hers against West Coast Baptist in 2018.

Leah Agost returned to action for Bushnell and earned seven kills, adding two service aces while
Matty Ladd earned six kills and
Makenna Mosher and Brooklyn Dechent posted five kills apiece.

Jessie Matthews led all players with four blocks while
Bella Parque collected her final 12 digs inside the confines of the Morse Center.
Katie Belitz led the team with 25 assists while Sanders posted 20 and
Amyah Semau added ten digs.

Evergreen (4-20, 4-16) was led by Ashley Walker Campbell and Lucendy Perez collecting eight kills apiece. Jessica Mitchell earned a double-double with 16 assists and 11 digs while Molly Packer led all players with 13 digs.

The Bushnell seniors were asked to reflect on the game and their season. They said:

Bella Parque: "Tonight was amazing! We fought hard and knew that we had to keep our standard of play. I am so proud of this team and our seniors. We all kept high energy and fought hard for a great night of volleyball."

Elijah Sanders: "I am so proud of everyone tonight. I fell like our energy was strong throughout the entire match and it helped us play consistently through the end of the game. I am so proud of this team and how we all worked together so well."

Matty Ladd: "Tonight was a great game! We fought and were able to play to our standard. I am so proud of our team and how we have battled through injuries to get back to winning matches this weekend."

Brooklynn Dechent: "What an emotional night. I think tonight was more about us as a team and being together. Tonight was dedicated to working hard together and having fun. I am proud of who we are and I am so thankful for these girls and to be a part of this team. Sco Beacs!"

The Beacons will now hit the road for their final two games of the regular-season, heading to face Lewis-Clark State University on Friday at 6:00 pm and Walla Walla University on Saturday at 8:00 pm.

Corwin added, "It is always good to take a moment like we had tonight to honor them, but now we still have some work to do and a legacy to establish. We are ready to finish conference play strong against some tough teams on the road."
