Beacons Shut Out by CCC Leaders

HELENA, Mont.  – Bushnell became the eighth straight clean sheet victim of Carroll College on Saturday night, falling to the first-place Saints, 3-0.

Carroll (7-1-2, 6-0 CCC) scored the game-winner in the first half and added two insurance goals over the final 45 minutes after out-shooting the Beacons, 21-7. Bushnell earned five saves as the Saints collected eight shots on goal, as freshman Keeper Jace Meyer made his debut in the second half, collecting three saves over the final 28 minutes.

Head Coach Joao Ehlers said, "We had a good start to the game and we were able to close down spaces quickly. We also created some good chances but struggled to put them away."

The Beacons (6-3-1, 2-3) took four shots-on-goal in the contest, coming from Ian Palma, Francisco Cayolla, Brady Housley and David Melo.

The Beacons will remain on the road next weekend, heading to Washington to take on Northwest (2-6-2, 0-3-2) on Friday and Evergreen (1-7, 1-4) on Saturday.
