EUGENE, Ore.  – Eastern Oregon University put an end to the Beacons hopes at a CCC playoff berth on Saturday, taking a 3-0 victory in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.
 
The Mounties (7-2-4, 6-1-4 CCC) out-shot the Beacons 24-15, including a 7-2 edge in shots-on-goal. The win lifted EOU into a tie for third-place in the CCC with 22 points. Bushnell (6-7-3, 2-7-2) remain in 12th-place with eight points and are now seven points behind Oregon Tech in eighth-place with only two games and the opportunity for six points available.
 
All of the scoring came after the intermission for the Mountaineers, who posted in the game-winner in the 55th minute before tacking on insurance strikes in the 61st and 72nd minutes.
 
Head Coach Joao Ehlers said, "We created some chances but were not able to finish those opportunities today. We still have some games left to play so we are hopeful to fins some improvements to end the year on a good note."
 
The Beacons will be back in action on Friday, playing host to Walla Walla University (1-9) at 2:30 pm. Bushnell will then host Senior Day on Sunday when they face Rocky Mountain at 2:30 pm.
