KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Bushnell women's basketball team struggled offensively at No. 20 Oregon Tech, falling to the Owls 78-45 at Danny Miles Court in the Cascade Collegiate Conference contest on Friday night.

After a 15-15 first quarter, the Owls outscored the Beacons by 10 points in the second to go up 37-27 at the break. OIT held a 28-11 margin in rebounding at the half, including a 12-1 advantage in offensive boards.

Oregon Tech extended its lead to 23 points, 56-33, at the end of the third quarter, holding Bushnell to without a made field goal in the period. The Beacons took 16 attempts at the free throw line in the third quarter alone, making six.Â

Bushnell (9-7, 5-5 CCC) finished 25% (11-44) from the field and 51.4% (19-37) at the free throw line, both season-lows. OIT (15-1, 9-1) shot 43.1% from the floor and finished with a 59-28 lead in rebounds, including 20 offensive boards. The Owls had 27 fouls on the game.

Ayden Krupke led the Beacons in scoring, recording 12 points and making 7-of-10 free throws.
Mandy Sisul posted 10 points and shot 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Libby Mathis posted nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

The Owls were led by 17 points and seven rebounds from Kayley Elliott off the bench. Tatum Schmerbach added 13 points and six boards, while Olivia Sprague tallied 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Bushnell will look to get back on track on Saturday against No. 24 Southern Oregon.
