EUGENE, Ore. – Bushnell suffered a sweep at the hands of No. 4 Eastern Oregon University on Saturday evening, 25-15, 25-20, 25-21, as the Mounties posted 14 blocks to keep their share of first-place in the CCC.
Â
After a tough loss on Friday, the Beacons responded well against a team who should be in the hunt for a national championship at the end of the season, holding leads in the second and third sets, and keeping the score respectable. The Mounties kept rolling after their big Friday sweep of No. 5 Corban in the CCC Game of the Week.

Head Coach
Jason Corwin said, "We had a tough game on Friday night and didn't match the level of intensity that we needed to be successful. It was a great response tonight to come out and play a top-five team nationally who puts so much block and defensive pressure on us. We kept finding ways to score points and kept pressing. We were playing a team on a high, coming off a big win against Corban, but they showed no sign of any let down. They were flying high and playing with a lot of confidence and I credit Coach McLean for having them ready."

Bushnell (9-6, 7-4 CCC) was led by junior
