COMPLETE RESULTS | SALEM, Ore. – The Bushnell cross country teams were back in action on Friday, competing at the always competitive Charles Bowles Invitational, hosted by Willamette University at Bush Park.

Kyle Will said, "The team did well today in a huge race with a ton of competition. Sayer had a phenomenal race and everyone showed the grit that we need to succeed. Both of our women who competed had great races. They were strong and competitive and we continue to get better."
The men's race was the first official 8000-meter distance for the Beacons this season and featured nearly 250 runners. As a team, the Beacons took 24th place.
Leading the way was junior
Christopher Rosebrook, coming in 171st (28:31.1).
Sayer Pescosolido finished at 28:50 while freshman
Logan Gant ran a 29:01.3 in his first 8k. Rounding out the scoring for the Beacons were
Wyatt Pepiot (30:02.2) and Isaac Boldley (35:05.0).
On the women's side, senior
Kaitlin Cook continued her banner year, breaking her 5000m cross country personal record with a jaunt of 20 minutes, 32.5 seconds. She took 138th out of 223 runners.
Also running for the Beacon women was
Sidney Lane, 23:21.9 in her first collegiate 5k.
The Beacons will compete again in two weeks, closing out the regular season at the George Oja Invitational, hosted by Linfield University at Oak Knoll Golf Course on October 14.
