Coming off a 3-1 weekend at Warner Pacific University, the Beacons (11-28, 7-16) kept their post-season hopes alive and look to continue on that path with five home games this week.

LAST WEEK: Sam Silver threw 10.2 scoreless innings and picked up wins in both games as Bushnell swept a double-header against Warner Pacific on Friday. The teams split their Saturday twin-bill with WPU escaping with a win in the final conference game after a late rally by the Beacons.

SENIOR WEEKEND: This weekend will be the final home games for Bushnell's four seniors,
Krystal Akagi,
Leslie Reynaga,
Sam Silver, and
Bryana Yoshida. They will be honored during a ceremony in between games on Saturday.
Sam Silver will also be recognized during a ceremony between Friday's games for her recent Dr. Leroy Walker Champion of Character Award from the NAIA.

RECORDS WATCH: Congratulations are in order for junior
Hannah Tennant. In her first season with the Beacons, Tennant has broken Bushnell's all-time record for sacrifice flies with six. The previous record of five was set by Brooke Davis from 2009-2012.
Madison Steelman is tied for the Bushnell career record with nine RBI which she shares with 2023 Hall of Fame Inductee Tiffiny (Busse) Harwell.

CCC OUTLOOK: With seven conference games left on the docket, the Beacons are three games behind Carroll College for sixth-place in the CCC. Sandwich between is Northwest, 1.5 games up on Bushnell. The top-six teams will qualify for the post-season.

Bushnell is currently ranked sixth in the CCC for fielding percentage (.946), seventh for ERA (6.44) and eighth for batting average. Individually, Steelman ranks seventh in the CCC for home runs (5) and fifth for triples (4). Erika Allen is fifth in the conference for walks (20).

CORBAN: The Warriors (7-28, 5-18) sit two games behind the Beacons in the CCC standings, holding down ninth-place. They come into Tuesday's double-header having lost 14 straight games.

Corban is currently 11th in the CCC in hitting (.217), ninth in pitching (7.82 ERA), and eighth in fielding (.943).

Junior Paia'ala Wilcox-Molina leads the warriors in hitting with a .323 average, along with three home runs and 18 RBI. Jody Fischer has team highs with 30 hits, 25 runs, and 20 stolen bases. In the circle, Vanesa Hulett-Quinones has thrown 93 innings with a team-high four wins and a 6.73 ERA. She had 39 strikeouts. Â

Corban pulled out two wins on their home field earlier this season, and owns a 52-17 lead in the all-time series. Bushnell had won three of the last five meetings before this year.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO: The Yotes (37-6, 21-5) come into the weekend ranked No. 8 in the NAIA and having won nine of their last twelve contests. Their only losses this season have come at the hands of Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon, the two teams ranked higher in the national coaches poll, and a 1-0 ten-inning loss earlier this season to No. 25 Eastern Oregon.

The Yotes are ranked No. 2 in the conference for pitching with a 1.64 combined ERA. They are third offensively, batting .347.

The starting duo of Katleyn Wilfert (15-3) and Hannah McNerney (18-2) have been dominant. Wilfer is second in the CCC with a 1.28 ERA while McNerney is sixth at 2.00. Haley Loffer has been a force at the plate, leading the country with 62 runs scored.

The College of Idaho owns a 50-15 record in the all-time series and has won 12 straight.

Bushnell (21-18, 9-7 CCC) plays its final road games of the regular season this week, taking on Linfield on Tuesday before a conference series at the College of Idaho on Saturday and Sunday.

LAST WEEK: Bushnell split with conference-leading Oregon Tech over the weekend. The Beacons defeated the Owls in both day's openers, taking game one 8-6 on Friday before an 11-0 seven-inning run rule victory on Saturday morning. The Owls, who are receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll, came away with 14-7 and 10-4 victories.

Some highlights from the weekend include a five-RBI game from
Jordan Wilson on Friday and a shutout performance from
Trevor Hammond in his first start of the season on Saturday. Wilson hit a three-run homer and a two-RBI double to boost the Beacons to a game one comeback. In Saturday's opener, Hammond threw five scoreless innings, allowing three hits, before
Colby Knutzen finished off the game.

CCC OUTLOOK: Six teams remain in the fight for a top-four spot in the conference standings. Oregon Tech sits in first with a 14-6 conference record, followed by British Columbia in second (11-5). Bushnell (9-7), Lewis-Clark State (11-9), the College of Idaho (8-8) and Corban (7-9) are close behind the Owls and Thunderbirds.

CCC RANKINGS: Bushnell is third in the conference in ERA with a 4.74-mark, trailing LC State and UBC. The Beacons rank fifth in the conference in batting average (.274) and are third in home runs (37) after hitting eight in the last week.

The Beacons have two starters ranked among the top 10 in the conference in ERA, led by
Ethan Sachs, who is fifth with a 3.72 mark through 10 starts with 44 strikeouts (8th).
Adam Sabatino is sixth in the CCC with a 3.91 ERA.
Colby Knutzen has three saves (3rd) and a 2.89 ERA through 12 appearances.Â

Cayden Delozier is third in the conference in batting average (.378) and fourth in on-base percentage (.477). He held a 10-game hit streak this season, tying
Jeff Fripp's record from last year.
Ethan Stacy is second on the team in batting, holding a .327 average on the season.

Cade Crist is batting .306 on the year with eight home runs (5th).

LINFIELD: The Wildcats (12-24, 8-16 NWC) will close out their season on Tuesday against the Beacons after finishing eighth in the Northwest Conference. As a team, Linfield is hitting .284 on the year with a 6.81 ERA.

Catcher Tyler Marr leads the team in batting with a .351 average followed by utility Cameron Skinner (.339) and first baseman Branden Pasion (.336). Casey Struckmeier leads the Wildcats on the mound with a 3.32 ERA through eight starts.

Linfield holds a 2-0 overall record in the all-times series with Bushnell, defeating the Beacons 9-7 at the beginning of April.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO: The Yotes (24-15, 8-8 CCC) dropped three of four games at Corban in their last time out. C of I leads the conference with a .316 batting average and 20 triples. On the pitching side, they rank fifth with a 6.69 ERA.

Jonah Hultberg, listed as a utility player, leads the conference with a .425 average. Hultberg is first in hits (65) and triples (6), ranks second in RBI (46) and is third in doubles (14). Skyler Sadora is second in the conference in batting average (.382), ranking first in RBI (50) and second in doubles (16).

Nick Eliason and Kirby Robertson lead the Yotes' pitching staff. Eliason holds a 4.62 ERA through 14 appearances, while Robertson has a 5.15 mark in 13 appearances. Nine pitchers have started a game this season for C of I.
