MILWAUKIE, Ore. – Bushnell dropped the third game of the weekend Cascade Collegiate Conference series, 6-3, but salvaged a Saturday split as they took the non-conference clash, 8-7.
Erika Allen (pictured) collected five hits on the day including a 3-for-4 performance in the night cap to lead the Beacons.
Hannah Tennant recorded her sixth sacrifice fly of the season in game two, helping her break the Bushnell career record in just her first year with the program. The previous record of five had been held by Brooke Davis since 2012.
GAME ONE: Warner Pacific 6, Bushnell 3
Warner Pacific ended a six-game losing streak to the Beacons, and took just their second ever CCC victory against Bushnell in the opener. Carrigan Foster (3-5) struck out eight batters in a complete-game victory, and held off a late change by the Beacons who scored twice in the top of the ninth before a close-call ground-out at first base ended the contest.
Allen went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Beacons.
Sam Silver (5-10) went the distance for the Beacons, giving up four earned runs.
GAME TWO: Bushnell 8, Warner Pacific 7

A rough start saw the Beacons down 6-0 after two innings, but the visitors slowly climbed their way back into the game, scoring three runs in the third and three in the top of the sixth to tie the contest, 6-6.
The Knights manufactured another run in the bottom of the sixth as Christina Barrett came home to score while Jordyn Rosario was caught stealing at second base.
Trailing 7-6, Bushnell took the lead in the top of the sixth inning. After an
Alyssa Ferreira single to left field was misplayed,
Bryana Yoshida was able to score from second base to tie the game. Then, after moving to third on an Erika Allen single, Ferreira put Bushnell on top for good on a double-steal.
The Beacons tagged starter Abby Carlson (0-9) for 12 hits in the game and collected five stolen bases. Steelman hit 2-for-3 with a two doubles and two runs scored while Silver added two hits and two stolen bases.
Leslie Reynaga (4-7) threw the final 5.1 innings in relief for Bushnell and gave up just one unearned run on one hit to secure the victory.

The Beacons (11-28, 7-16 CCC) return to Springfield next weekend for their final homestand of the season, taking on No. 8 College of Idaho (37-6, 21-5 CCC). Friday's double-header is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm.
