SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Â
Jordan Wilson drilled a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth in the second game of Saturday's non-conference doubleheader to give the Bushnell University baseball team a 6-3 win over Lewis & Clark College at the Hamlin Sports Complex.
Â
The Pioneers took the first game, 4-2, after a four-run top of the sixth.
Â
The Beacons (12-8) held the high-powered Pioneers (15-7) to 10 hits on the day, while tallying 18 of their own. The Northwest Conference batting leader entering the week, Jack Thomson, was held to 0-for-4 on the day but was walked three times and hit by a pitch.

Game 1: Lewis & Clark 4, Bushnell 2
Â
Cayden Delozier gave the Beacons an early 2-0 lead with a home run to right in the bottom of the first. That would conclude the scoring for Bushnell in game one as the Beacons could not take advantage of their eight hits.
Â
Ethan Sachs (0-2) allowed just one hit through the first five innings before a four-run fourth put the Pioneers ahead 4-2. Sachs posted a career-high eight strikeouts on the game.
Â
Kai Keamo entered in the sixth and did not allow a runner to reach base in his 1.2 innings of work. Â
Daniel Furman finished off the final two frames, allowing just one hit.
Â
Delozier and
Jacob Richardson led the Bushnell offense with two hits apiece. Richardson recorded a pair of doubles.
Â
Brett Pierson (2-3) tossed 6.2 innings for the Pioneers, allowing two runs on five hits. Â
Game 2: Bushnell 6, Lewis & Clark 3
Â
Wilson's three-run shot in the bottom of the ninth secured the third walk-off of the season for the Beacons. After a 0-for-4 game one, the outfielder racked up four RBIs in the second game on 2-for-5 hitting.
Â
The Beacons led 2-0 after the first once again, with the first run coming on a double steal. A collision at home on the steal advanced Delozier to third and
Dylan Carson drove him in with a single up the middle.
Â
Bushnell picked up another run in the bottom of the third on an RBI-single from Wilson, bringing home
Ethan Stacy who had reached on a leadoff triple.
Â
A two-run homer from Brennen Davis cut the Beacon lead to 3-2 in the top of the sixth. After a scoreless seventh and eighth, the Pioneers tied it up on a two-out RBI-double to deep left center by Jakob Ghammachi.
Â
Jaxson Fraser worked a one-out walk in his pinch-hit appearance and got into scoring position after
Ethan Stacy was hit by a pitch, forcing a pitching change. Wilson swung on the first pitch, sending a no-doubter to left center, to secure the walk-off for the Beacons.
Â
The Beacons used 19 players in the victory. Stacy, Wilson, Delozier and Carson finished with two hits each.
Â
