CALDWELL, Idaho  – The Bushnell cross country teams capped off their 2023 season on Friday morning, competing in the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships at Fairview Golf Course.
 
"It was a bit of a rough day at the office," said first-year head coach 
Kyle Will. "Everybody ran well, just not quite as well as we would have hoped. Everyone gave it their all and I am super proud of them. We are laying the foundation for the future."
 
Women's Hit four PRs, Finish Ninth
 
The Beacons competed as a full team for the first time this season with five healthy runners completing the 6000-meter course.
 
Leading the way was senior 
Kaitlin Cook, completing her collegiate cross country career with a 44th-place finish with a time of 25:19.9. Senior 
Kennedy Larson was close behind in 47th, hitting a new personal record in her finale at 25:39.6.
 
Freshman 
Mariah Summers also hit a 6K PR (28:50.2) and finished 60th while 
Madison Bender (29:16.8, 62nd) and 
Hannah Beers (31:25.9, 65th) competed for the first time this season.
 
Men's Team Takes Tenth Place
 
The Bushnell men's cross country team finished tenth at the conference championships, led by junior 
Noah Mancione in 63rd (27:54.9). Senior 
Christopher Rosebrook finished 66th (28:43.7) and sophomore 
Sayer Pescosolido came in 75th (29:56.0).
 
Rounding out the scoring for the Beacons were freshman 
Logan Gant (30:27.4) and 
Wyatt Pepiot (30:41.2) finishing 76th and 78th respectively.
 
Also running for the Beacons were 
Isaac Bodley and 
Andrew Bennett, taking 85th and 88th.
