Neumann Named CCC Player of the Week

CCC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

EUGENE, Ore.  – Senior Halle Neumann was named the Cascade Conference Rise Laboratory Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the CCC offices on Monday.

Bushnell went 2-0 on their weekend trip to Portland, sweeping a pair of double-headers from Warner Pacific and Multnomah. In the process, Neumann averaged 3.8 kills per set and hit .526 to lead the way.

In Friday's match against Warner Pacific she collected a match-high 13 kills, hitting .435. She upped the ante on Saturday, going 10-for-15 without an error to hit .667. She now has double-digit kills in eight matches this season, and leads the team with 141 kills.

Neumann also collected three blocks on the weekend as she moved into a tie for third-place on Bushnell's career blocking list with 235, tying Chandler Gabrio (2012-2015).

This is the first career CCC Player of the Week honor for the fifth-year senior and two-time All-CCC honorable mention selection. It is the third award for the Beacons this year as Neumann joins two-time Defensive Player of the Week, Bella Parque.

The Beacons (11-6, 9-4 CCC) are currently in a three-way tie for fourth place in the CCC. They return home this weekend and will take on Lewis-Clark State College on Friday at 7:00 pm.
