SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Northwest University came out on top in Saturday's Cascade Collegiate Conference contest with Bushnell University, shutting out the Beacons at the Les Schwab Sports Park.
The Eagles (5-3-3, 2-2-3 CCC) scored a pair of goals in the first half before a late score in the 80
th minute to seal the win. Bushnell (4-5-2, 0-5-1) held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks and matched the Eagles in shots, 11-11. Four Beacons finished with two shots, including two on frame from
Caleb Premo.
Angel Ventura, Tyler Hopp and Seito Gao scored for Northwest with Ventura and Hopp's goals coming within five minutes of each other. Hopp tallied five shots to lead the Eagles and added an assist.
Bushnell hosts Multnomah University (Oct. 13) and Warner Pacific University (Oct. 14) for senior weekend.
