CALDWELL, Idaho – The Bushnell University women's soccer team fell to host College of Idaho on Saturday night, holding the 15
th-ranked Yotes to just one goal in the Cascade Collegiate Conference match.

Halle Meadows said, "It was another great game that I can be nothing but proud of the girls for. I literally had kids crawling off the field after the game. They competed with the No. 15 team in the nation and made it competitive, a team that has been blowing out everyone in our conference. I have nothing but admiration and pride for my players. The College of Idaho (14-1-1, 10-0-0 CCC) records its ninth consecutive shutout and improves its win streak to 13 games. The Yotes have outscored conference opponents 32-1 through 10 games.

The lone goal of the match came in the 36
th minute of play off the foot of Larissa Wegner. Wegner finished with three shots on goal. Eden Makaafi led the Yotes with seven shots as they tallied 18 attempts on the night compared to six for the Beacons.

Bushnell (5-6-2, 4-4-2) was led by four shots from
Emily Puita, three on frame.
Dina Hayes added two shots, both on goal. The Beacon defense held the Yotes' high-powered offense to eight shots on goal as
Lexi Bates gathered seven saves.

The Beacons have just two games remaining in the regular season and can clinch a CCC Tournament berth with a win. Up next is a road game at Rocky Mountain College on Friday, Oct. 27.
