LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon knocked off the Beacons on Friday afternoon, 3-1, in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.
The Beacons (4-8-2, 0-8-1 CCC) held their own for much of the afternoon as Eastern held just a slim 17-14 advantage in shots attempts, including a 6-4 edge in shots-on-goal.
The Mounties (3-7-2, 3-5-2 CCC) jumped on the board early, scoring just three minutes into the contest, but Bushnell bucked down to keep a 1-0 deficit at the intermission.
Eastern scored two more times early in the second half before Bushnell was finally able to get on the board in the 65th minute.

Jay Jay Van Der Velde who fired home his third goal of the season to help the Beacons avoid the shutout.
The Beacons continue their road trip on Saturday, heading to Caldwell to take on The College of Idaho at 4:00 pm, Mountain Time.
