Beacons Fall to Lions

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Bushnell men's basketball team was defeated by Multnomah University on Saturday evening, 87-73, giving the Lions a season sweep over the Beacons.

An early 8-7 lead for the Beacons would be their final advantage as Multnomah shot 50% from the field and never let the visitors get a foothold.

Bushnell (7-12, 5-8 CCC) was led by Trevon Richmond who scored 18 points in the first half and finished with 19. Spencer Hoffman added 12 points and Alexis Angeles added ten.

Multnomah (12-8, 7-7) were led by Neyland Block who flirted with a triple-double, scoring 21 points, ten assists and eight rebounds. Tyrese Taylor posted 20 points and Zach Richardson finished with 19 in the win.

Bushnell will look to rebound on Tuesday night as they travel to Salem to take on Corban University at 7:30 pm. The Warriors are currently in fourth-place in the Cascade Conference and are receiving votes in the NAIA national poll.
