Andrew Webb shares his thoughts following the first round of the 2022 NAIA Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday at TPC Deere Run.

Day 1 was amazing, great conditions, very scoreable, and the weather was lovely. Unfortunately we missed some key putts and had two costly swings, however, we stayed in the fight, and didn't give up hope on the rest of the round. Execution is key, and we found yesterday that our game plan was rock solid, we just need more good swings and more putts to fall.
 
The energy of the course was calm and intense all at once. Our group was great, intensity was constant throughout the whole round, and Eric and I had great dialog about shots and reflecting on outcomes.
 
Round 2 will require more execution and precision into the greens, and we will be relying on the putter and short game to allow us to score. Time to fight.
