EAGLE POINT, Ore. – Needing three playoff holes to do it, senior
Andrew Webb won medalist honors on Tuesday at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship, presented by U.S. Bank. The Beacons team claimed a third-place finish at Eagle Point Golf Club.

With his CCC Championship Tournament victory, Webb qualifies to participate in the NAIA National Championship, taking place May 17-20 at TPC Deer Run in Silvis, Illinois.

Webb becomes the fourth Beacon to win CCC Medalist honors, joining two-time champion Josh Goins (2016, 2017) and Tyler Falk (2014). Goins also competed at TPC Deer Run after his 2016 title.

It was a comeback for the ages for Webb (69-79-70—218), who struggled in the second round on Monday and had fallen into a fifth-place tie after sharing the first-round lead. He also struggled early on in Tuesday's third-round, bogeying three consecutive holes to sit at two-over after six holes. He rallied to claim birdies on five of his next seven holes and ended the day at two-under.

Webb tied for first-place with University of British Columbia's Russell Howlett, sending the duo to a hole-by-hole sudden death playoff. After both players claimed par on the first two holes, Webb repeated the par effort on hole three while Howlett bogeyed.
Webb said, "What a blessing, to get to feel these things is overwhelming. The amount of support I had all week and these last ten years of playing golf was enough to bring me to tears when my last putt fell. I am humbled that God chose to bless me on this stage in this way. There are too many thanks to give, but the big one is to my father in heavan. He got it done this week, all I did was show up to the course and he took care of everything else."
As a team, Bushnell took third place, finishing the event on Tuesday with a round of 298 for a three-round score of 294-323-298—915. No. 6 University of British Columbia (889) held onto their second-round lead and won the tournament by four strokes over No. 12 Lewis-Clark State College (893).
Director of Golf
Larry Watts said, "The Beacons again accomplished something unique by Andrew winning the medalist honors in a three hole playoff. The team completed hard but unfortunately lost a sizable lead after the second round. They rebounded nicely the third and final round with a solid performance by Jackson and Cade.

12 strokes behind the Beacons, Oregon Tech took fourth-place (927) followed by The College of Idaho (935) in fifth, Multnomah (941) in sixth, Walla Walla (977) in seventh, and Corban (1005) in eighth.

The regular-season championship was also claimed by UBC as passed LC State to finish with a record of 26-2. LC took second place at 25 ½-2 ½. Oregon Tech took third place (17 ½-10 ½) while Bushnell took fourth (15 ½-12 ½)

Individually, Webb wins his first career medal and was the only Beacon in the top-ten.
Jackson Muramoto (76-80-73—229) climbed three spots on day two to finish in a tie for 12th-place while
Caden Stubbs (75-81-76—232) moved up one spot to 14th.

Cole Radbourne (74-86-83—243) finished 27th and
Benjamin Lovrod returned for round-three to score a 75 after being subbed in for by
Connor Maloney in the second round.
"It was a very emotional day for seniors Andrew, Connor and Cole, said Watts. "It has been an honor and joy to be a small part of their lives; they are going to missed around here and especially on the course."
