CORVALLIS, Ore. – Senior
Abbott Haffar was named the Cascade Conference WVT Laboratory Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the CCC office on Monday.

Haffar threw his best outing of the season on Saturday as he lifted Bushnell to their fifth straight CCC win in a 5-1 victory over Eastern Oregon University on the road.

Haffar retired the first 17 batters of the game and only surrendered one hit, a two-base knock in the seventh inning. He finished the game with six strikeouts and no runs allowed in seven innings.
So far in CCC games, Haffar is 2-0 with a 0.60 ERA. He has 13 strikeouts in 15 innings and has scattered six hits.Â

The senior hurler makes history as the first ever Bushnell baseball player to take home a conference weekly honor.

Bushnell (8-22, 6-2 CCC) returns home next weekend for another strong CCC challenge as they take on The College of Idaho. The Yotes are 16-17 on the season and tied for second place with the Beacons. The teams play a pair of double-headers, beginning Friday, April 1 at 2:00 pm.
