The Beacons scored six runs in the second inning, boosted by a three-run homer from Anabel Mendez. Alyssa Ferreira brought in the first run on a fielder's choice. Suzi Krstic beat out the throw at second to keep the bases loaded. Madison Steelman followed with a two-run single before Mendez added three more with a blast to left field. Faith Wayman added a run in the bottom of the sixth with a sacrifice fly.

Sam Silver got the start for the Beacons in the circle and held a no-hitter until the top of the fifth. Silver pitched her third straight complete game, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits with four strikeouts.

As a team, Bushnell is batting .284, eighth in the CCC and rank fifth in the conference with a 3.20 ERA through 15 games. Despite last weekend's defensive struggles, the Beacons lead the conference in double plays, turning 10 on the season.

Bushnell continues the spring season on Sunday, competing at the Willamette Spring Trilogy #2 at the Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Oregon. The Beacons opened up the spring schedule on a high note last weekend with a win over three other schools at the Bandon Crossings Match Play. Bushnell hosted Multnomah University, Skagit Valley College and Walla Walla University in the exhibition, which was not officially countable. Only stroke play is allowed for collegiate scoring.

The Beacons trailed Multnomah by 2 1/2 points entering the final day of play before winning all four matches over Walla Walla to earn the title. Bushnell had some help from Skagit Valley, who earned three points over Multnomah in round three to keep the Lions just a half point short in the final standings.

Bushnell competed in four tournaments in the fall, including two conference events, placing fourth and sixth in CCC play. The fall season was highlighted by an individual win by Jackson Muramoto at the Bushnell Fall Invite. Muramoto posted a 70-67 – 137 (-7), setting a new two-round tournament school record. His 67 on the second day was the third-best round in school history.

The CCC Championship takes place on April 23-24 at the Eagle Point Golf Club.

The senior's 155 put her in a tie for the third best two-round total in Bushnell women's golf history and her 76 on the first day is tied for the fifth-best single round in school history.

Aubin, a freshman, leads the team with an 82.8 stroke average. She finished among the top-20 in all four tournaments in the fall with her best finish coming in her very first event, the British Columbia Invitational (79-82-161) in mid-September.
