CALDWELL, Idaho - The Bushnell men's soccer team lost to The College of Idaho on Saturday by a final score of 7-0.
Â
The Beacons allowed four goals in the first half and looked to be in a heap of trouble after a second yellow card to
Kyle Aure early in the second half meant that Bushnell would be playing down a man for the final 34 minutes. The Yotes were only able to produce three more goals after that point, and finished the day with a 34-4 edge in shot attempts.
Â
Julian Hernandez produced nine saves for the Beacons in the loss. The College of Idaho (5-1, 3-1 CCC) held the Beacons to zero shots on goal in the contest.
Â
"We battled, but we still have some things to fix," said head coach
Will Hander. "We will get home and get back to work and get ready for our next game."
Â
The Beacons (1-6, 1-3) return home for their next six games, beginning on Friday, October 1 when they take on Multnomah University (0-8, 0-3) at 12:30 pm. Â
