LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Bushnell men's soccer team opened their road weekend with a loss on Friday afternoon, falling to Eastern Oregon University 2-0 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

The Mounties (2-4, 2-1 CCC) outshot the Beacons 21-6 in the game and had a 12-1 advantage in the first half, when both goals were scored.

Julian Hernandez finished his night with 5 saves for the Beacons (1-5, 1-2), including stopping a penalty kick early in the contest. EOU, however, was able to sneak two past the senior, scoring in the 32nd and 44th minutes.

"That was a tough loss," said head coach
Will Hander. "We played well but couldn't put together 90 minutes."

The Beacons head to Caldwell on Saturday to take on The College of Idaho at 4:30 pm Mountain time. The Yotes (5-1, 3-1) were upset winners over No. 23 Corban on Friday.
