Women's Hoops Claims Multiple CCC Awards

ALL-CCC TEAM | EUGENE, Ore. – Four Bushnell women's basketball players were named to the Spring All-CCC team on Thursday, while two special awards also went to the Beacons.
 
Head Coach Chad Meadors claimed his second CCC Coach of the Year honor after guiding the Beacons to back-to-back Cascade Collegiate Conference championships. Bushnell finished with a record of 11-2, 9-1 in CCC action, and ended the season on a ten-game winning streak.
 
For the second year in a row, Bushnell is also the home to the spring CCC Freshman of the Year. Aly Mirabile took home the prize after a strong debut campaign in which she made plenty of significant contribution as the sixth-woman.
 
Last year's Freshman of the Year, Aspen Slifka, led the quad of Beacons on the All-CCC First-Team. Her short sophomore campaign including a team-leading 14.2 points per game while leading the team with 27 three-pointers. She was fifth in the CCC in scoring, seventh in field goal percentage, and fourth for three-point field goal percentage.
 
Morgan McKinney was named a First-Team selection for the third straight year and she becomes just the second student-athlete in Bushnell history across all team sports to earn an All-CCC nod for four straight years as she was an honorable mention selection as a freshman. McKinney was second on the team in scoring this season, averaging 11.8 points per game, and was also second for rebounding and assists. During the final weekend of the regular season, she became the winningest player in school history, taking part in her 70th career victory.
 
After earning honorable mention as a junior, Kayce Mock closed out her career with a first-team nod. Mock closed out her career leading the team in rebounding with 7.4 per game and she scored 7.4 points per game. She posted a team-high 21 blocks and boasted the third-best assist-to-turnover ratio in the NAIA at 4.3. She led the CCC in steals per game (2.7) and was second for blocks per game (1.6).
 
Rounding out the First-Team All-CCC list was Kaylen Kamelamela, grabbing her first honor. The sophomore was third on the team in scoring, averaging 10.9 points per game, She led the Beacons and was fourth in the CCC, averaging 3.8 assists per game and she shot 50.5% from the field.
