KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Bushnell softball team saw a marked improvement in the first game of the day, falling 3-0 to the No. 7 ranked Oregon Tech Owls. OIT would go on to take the non-conference finale, 10-1.

The Owls remained undefeated at 18-0 despite a series-low seven hits in the first game.
Miranda Jensen threw the distance for the Beacons, allowing three earned runs while striking out two. Sarah Abramson (10-0) struck out seven in the shutout. Â

Bushnell scattered four hits of their own, including a double from
Anna Cardwell.

In the second game,
Noel Balderston and
Kerry Murphy each went 2-for-3 with a Balderston double in the fifth accounting for the only Beacon score.

Bushnell (2-16, 0-6) returns home next weekend for a four-game series with the University of Providence (0-8, 0-6). Friday's set will begin at 2:00 pm.
