KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The daunting Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule didn't get any easier for the Beacons in week two as they moved from facing the No. 1 team in the NAIA to the No. 7 team, falling twice to Oregon Tech in five innings, 11-3 and 9-0.

For the Owls, Sarah Abramson (9-0) threw the two-hitter in the opener, striking out eight. She gave up four walks including one to
Jordan Kuykendall with the bases loaded. McKenzie Staub (7-0) got the win after striking out three batters and allowing one hit in four innings of game two.
Head Coach
Katie Duroe said, 'We have the strongest hitting lineup we've had in my three seasons here but our hitters need to step up and we need to capitalize when runners get on base. When we were more disciplined at the plate today, we forced their pitcher to work and drew several walks. We have all the tools and athletes to be successful, we just have to put it all together."
The teams will return to action on Saturday for another double-header, beginning at 11:00 am.
