REDDING, Calif. – The Bushnell volleyball team closed out a successful opening weekend with another victory on Saturday, topping Simpson 25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 25-19 to improve to 3-0.

Contributions abounded from up and down the lineup, led by a match-high 11 kills from
Natalie Martin.
Camille Guerrero added nine kills and 18 digs while
Jessica Northcutt,
Shay Coons, and
Cambria Lingenfelder added six kills apiece.

Lingenfelder also served up three of the Beacons eight aces with Guerrero and
Makenna Northern posted two each. Northern led all players with 33 assists and redshirt-freshman
Peyton Ritchie made her Beacon debut with ten assists.

The Beacons posted a strong 96 digs, including 32 from
Callie Wilkins and 16 from
Jackie Harmon. "It was so great to compete as a team this weekend and have everyone contribute to our success," said Harmon. "We were pushed against another team and we learned so much about ourselves that we can take into the start of league next weekend."

Bushnell will head to Lewiston, Idaho next Friday and Saturday for the first of two weekends hosted in the Gem State. The Beacons face Lewis-Clark State twice on the 19th and then will see No. 13 Corban for a pair of matches on Saturday.
