CROSS COUNTRY
Friday 11/17 at NAIA National Championship, 10:30 am (Livestats|Video Stream)
Â
Earning the CCC's host bid to the NAIA National Championship, the Bushnell men's cross country team is ready to roll as they compete at Fort Vancouver in Vancouver, Washington on Friday morning. One of seven Cascade Collegiate Conference teams selected, the Beacons are healthy and whole for the first time all season and ready to make some waves.
Â
Head Coach
Tom Boldon said, "We are very excited to be heading to nationals. This team's goal was to put themselves in a position to get that spot and we did just that. The exciting part is that we weren't anywhere close to 100% at conference. With 36 teams in the field, I believe we can finish ahead of quite a few of them."
Â
Joining the men's team will be women's cross country junior,
Rebecca Kuskie. The All-Cascade Conference selection earned an individual at-large bid to the women's race after finishing in fifth-place at the CCC Championship. This will be her first time competing at the national race.

VOLLEYBALL
Saturday 11/18 at Montana Tech, 4 pm PST (Livestats|Video Stream)
Â
For the second year in a row, the Beacons (21-7) head to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round, and for the second time they travel to face an NAIA Top-20 team in Montana.
Â
This time, the Beacons face Frontier Conference runner-up Montana Tech, currently ranked No. 15 in the NAIA. Similar to Bushnell, the Orediggers (21-9) dropped their conference semifinal match, losing to Carroll College in four sets. This will be the first meeting ever between the schools.
Â
MT had five women earn a spot on the All-Frontier Conference teams including three first-team selections. Maureen Jessop, a junior outside hitter, collected 300 kills with 3.0 kills per set and led the conference with 44 service aces. Senior outside hitter Karina Mickelson is a four-time all-conference selection and close behind Jessop statistically. Junior setter McKenna Kaelber was also selected after posting similar numbers to Bushnell's own
Makenna Northern. Kaelber averaged 10.2 assists per set.
Â
A win on Saturday for the Beacons would mean a trip to the NAIA Final Site in Sioux City, Iowa, beginning on November 30.
Â
MILESTONE WATCH: Speaking of Northern…Bushnell's junior All-American setter will officially become the Beacons all-time leader for assists on Saturday. She needs just three assists to land on 3175, which will pass the previous record held by Cori Wallace since 2013.
