KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech broke a third-place tie with a four-set victory over Bushnell on Saturday evening, 25-20, 29-27, 15-25, 25-19.
Bushnell posted some big numbers in the match, including a 21-kill night for
Shay Coons, who hit .347.
Halle Neumann added 15 kills while
Cambria Lingenfelder and
Payton Jones added 12 apiece.
Makenna Northern posted a match-high 46 assists while
Callie Wilkins led all players with 23 digs.
The Owls were led by Kaylin Talonen with 18 kills. Courney Isom added 29 assists and Aubrey Keivit scored 20 digs as Oregon Tech avenged a sweep in Eugene earlier this season.
"This was a tough road trip," said head coach
Jason Corwin. "We scored too many points…ours and bunch of theirs. Tech played a good game, managed their errors and took advantage at the right times. We will get back to work this week to be ready for the Washington schools."
Bushnell will return to the Morse Center next weekend for their final regular-season home games, playing host to Northwest University on Friday at 7:00 pm and Evergreen on Saturday at 5:00 pm. With a three-game lead over Northwest and four games remaining in the regular season, Bushnell can clinch a home playoff game with a win on Friday night.
