VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Bushnell men's and women's teams overcame the rain on Tuesday at the Multnomah University Invitational, claiming the championship titles at Green Meadows Golf Club.
 
The Bushnell men, having led by six strokes after the first round, kept a five-shot margin of victory as they topped host Multnomah, 599-604. Corban University was a distant third with a 628 stroke count.
 
Individually, Jacob Larson won the event, shooting a 67-71—138 to finish six shots under par. Bushnell senior 
Liam Bedford too second, going two-under par with a 70-72—142. Nick Torry from Corban was third (149) and Beacon junior Kaden Stubbs (75-75—151) tied for fourth with Multnomah's Joe Pemberton.
 
Jon Holzgang, Bushnell's day-one leader, had a more difficult time on Tuesday, but still finished in sixth-place (69-84—153). Juniors 
Andrew Webb and 
Connor Maloney were right behind in seventh place (154) and freshman 
Jackson Muramoto shot a 160 to take 13th in his first collegiate tournament.
 
Trailing by three shots heading into the day, the Bushnell Women pulled off the uncontested victory, as Corban had a golfer disqualified during the second round. The Beacons shot a 356-362—718.
 
Senior 
Kelsie Hellwege and junior 
Cassidy Krauss finished 2-3 for the Beacon. Hellwege went 81-83—164, and trailed Corban's Delaney Patterson by seven strokes for the individual title. Krauss shot an 86-87—173. 
Carli Brousseau followed in fourth (188) while 
Fernanda Gardea took sixth (193).  
 
After sealing the win on both sides, the Beacons will host the next tournament featuring members of the CCC on Monday, November 9th at Emerald Valley Golf Course in Creswell.
