McMINNVILLE, Ore. - With early season injuries taking their toll and just 14 healthy bodies available to step on the pitch on Wednesday night, the Beacons fell on the road to Linfield College, 6-0.
After giving up five goals in the first half, things looked grim for the visitors but despite the inability to go deep into a bench, the fatigued Beacons allowed just one second-half goal to escape with a respectable final score.Â
Linfield (1-1) out-shot the Beacons 34-5 in the contest as NCU's
Makenna Hadaller (pictured) registered 14 saves.
The Beacons return to action for a home scrimmage against Yakima Community College on Thursday night and play their next official contest on Sunday, hitting the road for another Division III foe in Pacific University at 4:00 pm.Â
