ATHERTON, Calif. – Coming off a two-win week to start the year, the reigning Cascade Collegiate Conference Team of the week made it three in a row on Monday, knocking off Menlo College in straight sets, 25-21, 25-15, 25-23.

Facing the Oaks for the first time in 12 years, the Beacons posted 13 aces including four from senior
Kayla Olson. NCU has now posted 31 aces over their first ten sets. The Beacons hit .175 in the game and benefitted from 25 unforced errors.

Claire Salness (pictured) led the way for the Beacons with ten kills while
Natalie Downes added six.
Makenna Northern led the team with 27 assists while
Jackie Harmon and Olson had 12 digs apiece.

Moea Kekauoha led all players with 15 kills for the Oaks (1-1), adding ten digs for the double-double. Pamelo Dungo added 27 assists and ten digs in the losing effort.

NCU will be back in action on Tuesday, taking on New Hope Christian College at 7:30 pm. The Beacons will also host George Fox University for a scrimmage at 4:30 pm.
