Box Score Eugene, Ore. - The Northwest Christian University men's basketball team was victorious on Friday night as they beat New Hope Christian College 128-96. The Beacons hit on 57% of their shots as they posted the third-highest point total in school history.Â

Ernest Ugoagu led the Beacons (5-5, 1-0 CCC) with a team-high 26 points, nine rebounds, and four assists while
Malik Corey added 16 points and four assists. The Beacons had a spread out scoring night with six other players scoring in double figures including; Dyshawn Hobson (13),
Stevie Schlabach (13),
Luke Burke (12),
Shawn Carson (10),
Kaleb Anundi (10), and
Kaden Sand (10). NCU held the Deacons to shoot just 34% from the field.Â
Knigel Key led the Deacons (5-12) with a game-high 37 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Robert Knox had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds while Jaylen Rose and Philipp Zhilin each added 12 points in the loss.Â
The Beacons will look to continue momentum as they take on Pacific Lutheran University on Saturday, December 14, at 4pm at the Morse Event Center.Â
