Eugene, Ore. - The Northwest Christian University women's basketball team started off Saturday's 69-44 victory against Simpson with a 24-0 run in the first quarter. The Beacons ended the quarter shooting 55% from the field and four of eight from three along with holding the Red Hawks without a field goal.
Junior
Morgan McKinney led the Beacons (2-1) balanced scoring night with a game-high 11 points along with six rebounds, five assists and one steal in just 19 minutes of action. Freshman
Aspen Slifka had nine points and five rebounds.

Hannah Eddens had four points and a game-high eight rebounds along with two steals in the victory. The bench was crucial as the NCU reserves outscored Simpson 37-28 for the game.
On the night the Beacons outrebounded the Red Hawks 37-27 while holding Simpson to shoot just 21% from the field.
Freshman Brianna Clark led the Red Hawks (1-10) with 10 points and four steals while Alex Cooper added eight points and seven rebounds off the bench in the loss.
The Beacons will next play Tuesday, November 26, as they hit the road to take on the University of Puget Sound at the Memorial Fieldhouse at 7:00pm.
