EUGENE, Ore.  – A pair of second-half goals accounted for all of the scoring as the Southern Oregon University men's soccer team shutout Northwest Christian University on Saturday.

The Raiders got the eventual game-winner in the 57th minute when Noah Addie scored a header off a pass from Gonzalo Garcia. Then, with just nine minutes remaining, Yan Passeo de Oliveira headed a long throw-in from Zac Hansen for the insurance strike.

The Beacons (2-6-1, 1-3-1 CCC) were outshot 15-7 and received shots on goal from
Jose Magana,
Malcolm Fleming, and
Ian Hernandez.

The Raiders (8-2, 5-0) have only allowed one goal through five conference matches this season as Wyatt Zabinski made two saves to record the clean sheet. The defending CCC champions remain locked in a first-place tie with No. 18 Corban, and will face the Warriors on Sunday afternoon.

Northwest Christian will return to action on Sunday at 1:30 pm, taking on Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls. The Owls were defeated 1-0 in overtime by Corban on Saturday.
