ATHERTON, Calif. – The Beacon men's soccer team got their season underway on Thursday morning, falling to Menlo College, 7-0.

The Oaks controlled the pace of the game and held the Beacons without a shot-on-goal in the contest.

Menlo scored three goals in the first half and added four more in the second, getting two goals apiece from Giovanny Gomes and Stephen Levy.

After missing the 2017 season due to injury, Alex Abalan (pictured) returned to the NCU lineup and led the team with four shot attempts.

The season rolls on in Atherton on Friday morning with a neutral-site contest against The Master's College. Â
