ATHERTON, Calif. – The Beacon men's soccer team dropped their second game in as many days, coming out on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat to The Master's College. The neutral-site game was played in Atherton, California at the home of Menlo College.

The Master's struck first, scoring in the seventh minute. Less than 30 seconds later, the Beacons responded as
Ian Hernandez (pictured) punched in an unassisted goal for his first career score.

The score remained tied 1-1 until the second half when TMC scored the game winning on the second goal of the day from Luis Garcia Sosa. The Mustangs added an insurance goal in the waning moments.

The Beacons (0-2) were out-shot 21-4 in the game as NCU keeper
Julian Hernandez made four saves.

NCU will be back in action on Tuesday as they come back for their first official home game of the season, playing host to Simpson University at 1:00 pm. Â Â
