Michael Loomis provided one final silver lining on Wednesday night, scoring 32 points as he crossed the 1000-point plateau for his career in NCU's 95-81 loss to Warner Pacific in the quarterfinal round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference men's basketball tournament presented by U.S. Bank.

The Beacons season comes to an end with the loss as they close out the 2017-2018 campaign at 13-15. Warner Pacific (22-8) advances to host Oregon Tech on Saturday in the semifinals.

For Loomis it was his fifth 30-point game of the season and gave him 607 points on the season as he becomes just the second NCU player on record to score over 600 points in a single-year. He also added 15 rebounds to grab his 11th double-double of the season and fourth straight.

The Beacons also had a 14-point performance from
Reece Robinson while
Kenny Blackwell also put a nice cap on his career with 13 points and four assists. NCU shot 45% from the field and turned the ball over just eight times.

Warner Pacific shot 53% in the game and hit nine three pointers. They owned a 40-37 rebounding edge and turned the ball over just six times. Collin Malcolm led the way with 23 points while Brandon Bell came off the bench to score 18.Â
