LA GRANDE, Ore. – The final roadtrip of the 2018 season rolled along for the Northwest Christian University volleyball team on Saturday evening, falling to Eastern Oregon University in three sets, 25-21, 25-14, 25-18.

The Beacons (11-15, 4-13 CCC) were beat in nearly every category statistically, but did hold a 7-5 blocking advantage with
Megan Van Marter assisting on five of them.
Claire Salness led the offensive effort once again with 12 kills and six digs.
Makenna Northern added 16 assists, seven digs and two blocks and
Kayla Olson posted a team-high eight digs.

Eastern (21-5, 16-2) remains in a tie for first-place in the CCC with the victory. They were led by Taylor Tibbetts, recording 10 kills. Hailee Ackerman hit .462 in the match with seven kills and added four of Eastern Oregon's 11 service aces. Madison Pilon had a match-high 25 assists and Kiley McMurtrey led all players with 17 digs.

NCU will play their final road game of the 2018 campaign on Sunday, traveling to face Walla Walla University at 3:00 pm.
