CALDWELL, Idaho – The No. 12 College of Idaho volleyball team swept visiting Northwest Christian, 25-14, 25-19, 25-20 on Saturday, continuing their dominance of the Cascade Conference.

The Yotes (15-1, 7-1 CCC) showed their offensive prowess hitting .236 while amassing 42 kills on their home court.
Coming off a victory of No. 16 Corban, CI earned their sixth victory in a row, all over CCC opponents.

Set one was all Yotes, as they rattled off seven in a row at one juncture before closing out with a nine-point margin. Â The Beacons came out strong in the second, leading midway through until CI's defense stopped them cold with three straight blocks, swinging the momentum back in their favor and riding the wave to a 25-19 victory. Set three was close throughout, but the Beacons couldn't overcome the aggressive attack delivered by the home team.

Juniors Taylor Alexander, Marija Djonovic, and Jackie van Vliet led College of Idaho of both ends. Van Vliet had a match high 10 kills with no errors, while Alexander swung for nine kills on 21 attempts. The duo also combined for 16 blocks. Djonovic compiled 34 assists along with seven digs. Kilee Lopez and Brenna Meehan had 12 and 11 digs respectively for the Yotes.

Maci Beierle had another strong match for the Beacons (9-4, 5-4) with 24 assists and seven digs.
Kasey Campbell and
Claire Salness each had six kills on the night.
Sydney Rothenbush compiled 10 digs and owned the teams' sole service ace.

NCU heads back to Eugene on Tuesday for a non-conference clash with New Hope Christian College at 7:00 pm.Â
