WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Northwest Christian University volleyball team rolled to their third straight conference victory on Thursday night, sweeping the Walla Walla Wolves 25-20, 25-10, 25-20. The Beacons, riding a historic week of individual honors, made history again with their win over WWU, improving to 9-2 for the first time in school history.

NCU (9-2, 5-2 CCC) owned the night in College Place, hitting .273 to the Wolves .098 and ending the match with a 51-27 advantage in kills.

Leading throughout, Northwest Christian built up leads of eight in the first set, fifteen in the second, and nine in the third en route to their fourth consecutive win. Walla Walla put together multiple four-point runs of their own, but it was no match for the aggressive and poised performance delivered by the visiting Beacons.

Reining CCC Setter of the Week
Maci Beierle had yet another strong showing posting 38 assists, improving her conference-leading 11.09 per-set average while also compiling nine digs and two kills.
Kasey Campbell, fresh off her first CCC honor as Attacker of the Week, continues to assert herself as one of NCU's top scoring threats as she led the way with 11 kills. Beacon hitters

Danielle Willyard all contributed greatly on the night. Schwarz swung for nine kills on .412 hitting, while Downes, Van Marter and Willyard each had eight kills.
Claire Salness had a well-rounded match, downing five kills and earning seven digs.

On the defensive end, NCU had two players with double-digit dig totals.

Haley Damian collected 11 to go along with six assists.

Walla Walla (1-11, 0-8) was led by Lauren Barlow, who had eight kills and a match-high 16 digs. Caldora Blackburn and Morgan Doyle had eight and six kills respectively.

Northwest Christian continues their road trip with two top-ranked opponents as they'll take on No. 8 College of Idaho on Friday at 5 p.m., followed by a match with No. 12 Eastern Oregon on Saturday scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
