PORTLAND, Ore. - For the first time this season, the NCU volleyball team was on the losing end, falling to Warner Pacific in three sets, 25-22, 25-23, 25-19.
The Beacons collected 11 blocks in the match, but weren't able to overcome a dominant performance by the Knights' Janessa Mast who earned 17 kills and hit .286.
NCU (4-1, 1-1 CCC) collected seven kills apiece from
Kasey Campbell and
Keri Schwarz with Schwarz having her hand in five blocks.
Megan Van Marter hit .400 with five kills and four blocks while
Kayla Olson led the Beacons with ten digs.
Northwest Christian will be back in action on Friday, coming back to Eugene for their home opener against The Evergreen State College at 7:00 pm.
