Box Score EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University volleyball team beat visiting Multnomah in straight sets 25-19, 25-20, 25-16 in a CCC match on Saturday. The Beacons set a school-record during the match, winning their 15th consecutive set.

NCU (14-4, 9-4 CCC) played huge on both sides during their victory, topping the Lions in every statistical category. They finished with a 46-38 kill advantage, hitting .305 to the Multnomah's .163. Defensively, they had ten blocks and 66 digs.

The Beacons continue to surge, with setter
Maci Beierle (pictured) running an offense that's firing on all cylinders. The senior setter had a double-double with a match-high 40 assists and 12 digs, in addition to four blocks.
Megan Van Marter led the Beacons push with 12 kills on .579 hitting, while also accumulating eight blocks, two service aces, and three digs.
Keri Schwarz had an attack percentage of .444 on the day, downing nine kills on 18 attempts with just one error.

Northwest Christians' trio of freshman starters
Claire Salness,
Natalie Downes, and
Kasey Campbell all played huge in the match, combining for 24 kills on .320 hitting and six blocks. Salness was perfect on her attack while also having a big impact on stifling the Lions, notching 11 digs.

Reigning CCC Defender of the Week
Haley Damian had a team-high 15 digs for the Beacons.
Sydney Rothenbush was the fourth member of NCU's backrow to hit double-digits in digs, accumulating ten.

Multnomah (3-15, 1-11) was led by Miranda Halverson, who amassed 12 kills, eight digs, and three blocks. Sydney Amundsen had ten kills, hitting .429. The Lions had two players with 10 plus digs in Sabrin DeJesus-Bair and Kayla Keane. Marissa Rhodes had 34 assists as well as six digs.

The Beacons head out on a three-game road trip next week, first traveling to Kirkland, WA to take on Northwest University on Friday at 7 p.m.
