SALEM, Ore. – The No. 15-ranked Corban volleyball team got their redemption on Friday night, sweeping visiting NCU 25-18, 26-14, 26-24 in CCC action.

Backed by a full-house in the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center, the Warriors (18-7, 13-3 CCC) were pushed to their limits, but gutted-out a gritty victory. Corban ended with a 52-32 kill advantage over the Beacons, swinging at a .225 clip.

Set one was an offensive showcase for both teams, with Corban hitting .447 and NCU .237. After tying the score at 11-11, Amber Parker rattled-off three consecutive kills, swinging the momentum in the home teams favor. The Warriors later rallied scoring runs of four and five in-a-row to gain the edge and close out game one on top.

Sets two and three were tightly contested, both seeing deadlock-scores at 24 points. Corban was able to edge-out both, sealing their eighth consecutive home victory with back-to-back service aces by Cierra Leopoldino.

Parker worked her way to the nights' only double-double, downing a game-high 14 kills while scooping 12 digs. Marandah Boeder played big in the match, swinging for 12 kills on .485 hitting. Alaina Gentili was the third Warrior hitter in double-digits, scoring 10 kills on the night. Maddison Milligan and Leopoldino set the tone for their teammates, collecting 31 and 14 assists respectively. Lauren Conden led Corban's backrow with 14 digs.

Northwest Christian (15-6, 10-6) was led offensively by Junior
Megan Van Marter, who had ten kills with just one error, hitting .529.
Keri Schwarz and
Natalie Downes (pictured) each assisted on eight of NCU's 11 blocks, while also combining for nine kills.
Haley Damian was the only Beacon to top double-digits in digs, notching 13. Senior Setter
Maci Beierle had 28 assists and six digs in the loss.

NCU looks to rebound from their two-game skid next Friday, October 27th, when they host No. 8 College of Idaho at 7 p.m.
