Yayo Olvera's sixth shutout of the season, the Northwest Christian University men's soccer team topped visiting Walla Walla 1-0 in a CCC match on Friday. NCU's earned their fifth conference victory, most in program history.

NCU (5-6-2, 5-3-2 CCC) held the Wolves to just three shots while striking 27, 11 of which forced the keepers hand. The Beacons also held the edge on corners, 10-1.

Sanad Elghanai pressed the Wolves defense hard all game, striking eight shots with six on goal. In all, Northwest Christian had seven players attack the goal

Goalie Tomcho Kohl had his hands full, stopping 11 shots for Walla Walla (0-12, 0-11). Andrew Nye and Emmet Semple struck the two shots on goal for the Wolves.

Both teams are back on the pitch tomorrow night in conference play. NCU plays their final home-game hosting Multnomah at 7 p.m., while Walla Walla heads north to clash with the No. 10 Corban Warriors at 8 p.m.
