LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University women's basketball team shot just 27% from the field including a 2-for-17 effort from outside as they were downed by No. 19 Eastern Oregon on Saturday 68-41.

NCU led early, 9-7 after a three-pointer from
Monique Thompson (pictured), but EOU ended the first quarter with an 8-0 stretch to end the first quarter and a 7-0 stretch to begin the second as they jumped out to a 22-9 lead.

The Beacons pulled to within five points on a
Jeni Hoffert three-point play with 1:50 remaining in the half but that was as close as the visitors would be for the rest of the night.

Eastern (10-2, 4-0 CCC) was led by Payton Parrish, scoring 17 points as she hit 5-for-7 from three-point range. Reece Bauer was just as hot from the arch, shooting 4-of-5 to score 14 points. Stormee Van Belle was also in double-figures for the Mounties with 15 points.

Thompson was the only player in double-figures for NCU (5-6, 2-2 CCC) scoring 19 points.
Jeni Hoffert scored eight points off the bench.
Hanna Mack led the team with five rebounds while
Katerina Brejchova posted a game-high three steals.

The Beacons will quickly look to regroup, coming home to face Corban University on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
