SALEM, Ore. – Corban University showed why they are the No. 14 ranked team in the NAIA on Saturday, defeating Northwest Christian University 3-0 in Cascade Collegiate Conference men's soccer action at Warrior Field.

The Warriors (9-1, 4-1 CCC) outshot the Beacons 18-12 and held a 9-4 advantage in shots-on-goal. The team scored just once in the first half, when Bobby Hutchin tapped in the eventual game winner in the 36th minute.

Less than two minutes into the second half they made it 2-0 as Hutchin struck again, collecting a loose ball and firing it home after a scramble. Quamie Dinnall scored the final goal for Corban in the 79th minute.

The Beacons (5-4-1, 1-3-1) remain on the road next weekend, traveling to face No. 24 Rocky Mountain in Montana on Friday afternoon.Â
