NCU survived through two overtime periods including one save in the second OT from freshman keeper
Yayo Olvera, his ninth of the game.
Â
In the end, Rocky Mountain out-shot the Beacons 19-6 and held NCU to three shots-on-goal.
Â
After the match, Head Coach
Benny Flores said, "I am really proud of the boys today. It was a full team effort. We started slow and our subs came into the game and came up big. Yayo had his best game of the season today and made some incredible saves. The guys are starting to believe that we can play with anyone in this conference."
Â
The Beacons return to action on Sunday, traveling to Caldwell to take The College of Idaho at 2:30 pm, MST.
