EUGENE, Ore. - A solid defensive effort wasn't enough on Tuesday as the NCU women's soccer team dropped their second game of the season, losing to Eastern Oregon University 1-0 in a non-conference tilt.
Only 15 shots were taken in the contest including five from NCU. The Beacons managed one shot on goal. EOU took seven shots on goal, translating to six strong saves for NCU keeper Kristin Fulbright. The lone blemish on the scoresheet came in the 27th minute when a pass came across from Jordan Allison in the right corner, connecting with Crystal Schuder in the box who tapped home the eventual game-winner.
The Beacons will look to rebound on Thursday when they travel to Salem for their first road game of the year, taking on Willamette University at 7:00 pm.
