Evergreen Scores Efficient 4-0 Win

OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Northwest Christian University men's soccer team held The Evergreen State College to just eight shots-on-goal on Friday afternoon, but the Geoducks made good on four of them for a 4-0 Cascade Collegiate Conference victory.

Evergreen (12-2-1, 10-2-1) got on the board with the eventual game-winner in the 18th minute when Juan Oropeza slotted the ball from six yards out after a Tanner Williams cross and a well-placed touch from Issa Hassan.

The Geoducks tacked on one more before the end of the first half, scoring in the 36th minute as Willie Spurr connected on a penalty kick. They went on to add two more scores in the second half.
