EUGENE, Ore. - The Corban University men's soccer team, ranked No. 11 in the NAIA, continued their season-long shutout-streak on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Northwest Christian University. The Warriors have now gone 900 minutes without allowing a goal.
Â
Corban showed their defensive prowess all night, allowing the Beacons just four shots, including three shots-on-goal. The Warriors collected 19 shots of their own including seven from junior Forward Quamie Dinnall.
Â
Dinnal was active all evening and had his hand in the Warriors first two goals, getting assists on both. In the tenth minute his forward pass to Nathaniel Cheney created a five-yard strike for the eventual game-winner.
Â
In the 50th minute he sent a short crossing pass into the box where Armando Guevara buried the close-range strike.
Â
Corban added on an insurance goal in the 78th minute. A long throw-in from James Williamson found Josh Escobar at the top of the 18. Escobar flicked the ball on to Kemar Prince who buried the long missile.
Â
Levi Davidson collected five saves in goal for the Beacons.
TJ Burton,
Chris Hendler and
Isaiah Blake (pictured) each had shots on goal for NCU.
Â
