Box Score 2LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Northwest Christian University softball team opened up their delayed weekend on Sunday, falling in both ends of a double-header at Eastern Oregon, 4-3 and 10-2 with the latter game finishing via the five-inning run rule.
NCU held leads in both games but couldn't hold on as the Mounties jumped into a tie with the Beacons for fifth place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings, along with Corban University. All three schools have three victories so far in CCC action.
The Beacons will return to action on Monday, traveling to Caldwell to take on The College of Idaho at 12:00 pm CST.
